Caretaker (Caregiver) – Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Caretaker to provide daily care and support to individuals who need assistance, such as elderly persons, patients, or people with disabilities. The ideal candidate should be patient, attentive, and dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in their care.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Help with mobility, walking, and physical support
Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
Administer basic medications as directed
Monitor and report changes in health or behavior
Provide companionship and emotional support
Maintain cleanliness of the living environment
Accompany clients to appointments if required

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare (preferred)
Basic knowledge of first aid and personal care
Familiarity with basic health monitoring (e.g., temperature, blood pressure)
Ability to handle physical tasks and assist patients safely
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

Certification in caregiving, nursing assistant, or healthcare
Patience, empathy, and strong sense of responsibility
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
