Description


An active logistics and cargo operation in Dubai offers an opportunity for an organized Shipping Coordinator to manage shipment arrangements, coordinate documentation, and support the timely movement of goods from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily shipping activities and shipment schedules.
Arrange cargo collection, dispatch, and delivery according to planned timelines.
Prepare, check, and organize shipping and export/import documentation.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, transport companies, suppliers, customers, and clearing agents.
Track shipments and provide timely updates on delivery status.
Verify invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, and other shipment-related documents.
Coordinate with warehouse teams regarding cargo availability, loading, and dispatch.
Monitor shipment schedules and follow up on delays or changes.
Assist with customs and clearance documentation when required.
Maintain accurate shipment records, tracking details, and correspondence.
Identify documentation errors, cargo discrepancies, or delivery issues and report them promptly.
Prepare routine shipping reports and status updates for management.
Maintain organized electronic and physical shipping files.
Communicate with customers regarding shipment schedules and delivery information.
Support the shipping team in resolving day-to-day operational issues.
Ensure shipping activities follow company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export operations is an advantage.
Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong coordination skills are welcome to apply.
Good understanding of shipping documentation and shipment procedures.
Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Basic knowledge of import/export processes and customs documentation.
Good computer skills, including MS Office and Excel.
Ability to maintain accurate records and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work with deadlines and changing shipment schedules.
Professional communication with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
UAE/GCC logistics or shipping experience is an advantage.
