Description


A facilities and engineering company in the UAE is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to oversee equipment upkeep, troubleshoot technical problems, coordinate maintenance activities, and help maintain reliable operation of building systems and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and technical systems.
Inspect machinery, electrical/mechanical components, and facility equipment regularly.
Diagnose equipment faults and coordinate corrective maintenance.
Supervise technicians and assign maintenance tasks based on priority.
Review maintenance requests and ensure issues are addressed within the required timeframe.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialized work is needed.
Maintain records of repairs, inspections, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
Monitor spare parts, tools, and technical materials required for maintenance work.
Evaluate recurring equipment problems and recommend practical solutions.
Assist with testing and commissioning of repaired or newly installed equipment.
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out according to safety procedures.
Review equipment performance and suggest measures to improve reliability.
Prepare maintenance summaries and technical updates for management.
Support emergency maintenance requirements and minimize operational downtime.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
Previous experience in maintenance engineering, facilities, manufacturing, or technical operations is preferred.
Practical understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance methods.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
Familiarity with maintenance schedules, technical reports, and service records.
Good knowledge of MS Office and maintenance management systems is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to supervise technicians and coordinate contractors.
Good communication and planning skills.
Able to respond effectively to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
UAE/GCC experience in engineering or facilities maintenance is an advantage.
