Description


We are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide individual and classroom-based support to students who require additional learning, behavioral or developmental assistance.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the inclusion/SEN team and parents to help students participate effectively in classroom activities, develop their academic and social skills, and achieve their individual learning goals.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support to students as required.
Assist students with additional learning needs, including SEN/SEND requirements.
Support students in understanding and completing classroom activities and assignments.
Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning and support plans.
Help adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual student needs.
Encourage students to develop independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
Support students with communication, social interaction and classroom participation.
Monitor and record student progress, behavior and areas requiring additional support.
Assist teachers with classroom management and learning activities.
Provide appropriate support during lessons, examinations, school activities and transitions.
Promote positive behavior and reinforce classroom and school expectations.
Support students during break times, school trips and extracurricular activities when required.
Communicate relevant observations and student progress to the class teacher and SEN/Inclusion team.
Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records.
