Hair Stylist – Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Hair Stylist to provide professional hair care services and enhance clients’ appearance. The ideal candidate should be passionate about beauty, up to date with trends, and committed to excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their hair needs and preferences
Cut, trim, style, and color hair according to client requests
Recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and products
Wash, condition, and treat hair and scalp
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tools and work area
Stay updated on current hair trends and techniques
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Promote and sell salon products when appropriate

Requirements

Certification or diploma in cosmetology or hair styling
Proven experience as a hair stylist (preferred)
Knowledge of modern haircuts, coloring, and styling techniques
Familiarity with professional products like L'Oréal Professional and Schwarzkopf Professional
Good communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and creativity

Preferred Skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Sales and product recommendation skills

Work Environment

Salon setting with flexible working hours
Requires standing for extended periods
