Description

This position will require strong project management skills and stakeholder engagement experience. This position will implement field outreach activities toward communities and local authorities and support data collection for M&E purposes. The Project Officer will act as the project point person in the field, they will be responsible for promoting project activities, organizing community meetings, following up on activity delivery, and communicating any change in the field that may affect the project scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support and assist the Project Lead and Safeguards Coordinator in supporting the implementation of program field activities as assigned to this position, including coordination with CI staff, partner communities, and other stakeholders.

Participate in field activities within the catchment and coordinate with community group members and program staff to help integrate community group members into the program activities.

Liaise with communities and local authorities on a day-to-day basis and ensure active engagement of stakeholders to mobilize resources and facilitate activities.

Facilitate community meetings and be a co-facilitator at the district level.

Be a contact person and a mediator between local government staff, community members, and CI.

Facilitate and take part in field data collection activities associated with the project.
