Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently load and unload cargo from trucks, ships, or airplanes, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading equipment to transport cargo within the warehouse or loading area.
Inspect incoming and outgoing cargo for damages and discrepancies, reporting any issues to supervisors.
Verify and record cargo details, such as weight, quantity, and type, and ensure accurate documentation for shipping and receiving.
Organize and prioritize cargo based on shipping schedules, delivery routes, and storage requirements to optimize loading and unloading processes.
Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure seamless cargo transfer and resolve any issues promptly.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and participate in regular stock checks as required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as well as work in varying weather conditions.
Perform routine maintenance checks on loading equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cargo loader or in a similar role is preferred.
Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading equipment.
Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe handling of cargo.
Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
