Job Title: School Bus Assistant

Job Description:
we are seeking dedicated and responsible School Bus Assistants to ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school. As a School Bus Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the bus driver and ensuring the well-being of students during their bus journey. Responsibilities:
Assist students in boarding and exiting the school bus, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Help students fasten and unfasten seat belts as needed.
Monitor student behavior and ensure that students follow bus rules and safety guidelines.
Communicate with the bus driver to coordinate student pick-up and drop-off points.
Assist students with special needs, including those with disabilities or mobility challenges, as required.
Maintain a calm and orderly atmosphere on the bus to ensure a safe and focused environment.
Respond to student questions and concerns, providing reassurance and assistance when necessary.
Keep an accurate record of students who board and exit the bus, reporting any discrepancies to the bus driver and school authorities.
Assist in emergency evacuation procedures, ensuring students exit the bus safely in case of an emergency.
Report any incidents, accidents, or safety concerns to the bus driver and school administration.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding bus schedules and student behavior.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness on the school bus, including regular cleaning and sanitization.
Attend training sessions and meetings related to bus safety and student transportation.
Assist the bus driver with pre- and post-trip inspections, including checking the condition of the bus and emergency equipment.
Collaborate with school staff and administrators to address student transportation needs and concerns.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school or childcare setting, is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with students of all ages.
Ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Physical capability to assist students and manage potential emergency situations.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record may be required.
Background check and clearances may be necessary.
